Ranger Air M-540

The bikes arrived in great shape. They were fairly easy to assemble. I bought two so once I figured out how to assemble the first one the second one went real quickly. The ride is real smooth and the motors are super powerful. I’ve done about 150 miles so far on dirt trails. I would suggest if you drive on dirt trails to hose off the bike afterwards.

After several months of researching fat tire E-bikes, I purchased a Ranger Air M-540. My main use for the bike is to quietly get to some of my remote turkey and deer hunting spots. The dual motor mode is powerful enough to climb the steep woods trails, while the dual suspension provides a comfortable ride. This summer I will enjoy using the bike at our RV campsite. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and want to say thanks to Clint at Freesky for his advice and excellent service.

I love the bike but i am really deceived that I did not received the promotion : Cycling package (10 piece kit) that was advertised when I purchased the bike. A good scam from your company to attract naive costumers I beleive. I wont reccomend anyone to do business with such a company.

I absolutely LOVE this bike!! The FREESKY Ranger AIR exceeded all my expectations. It’s super powerful but still very smooth and comfortable to ride. I can get a nice little workout by pedaling, and when I get tired, the motor takes over — it honestly feels like magic. Hills are effortless! The bike feels very stable and safe, even in strong wind (which I didn’t expect, but now I really appreciate). And the fat tires make riding on different surfaces so easy. The battery is also very convenient — you can charge it without removing it, or take it off if you want. One of my favorite things — I added a seat on the rear rack, and now I ride with my grandkids… they absolutely LOVE it! It turned into such a fun family activity. Overall, this bike makes me happy every time I ride it. 100% recommend!

I'm still experimenting with the bike since I haven't had it very long. I made a carrier on the back that accommodates my hunting equipment but have only used it a few times. I was hoping for more torque with the 2 wheel drive, but it's not quite enough when carrying my equipment "off-road" and up hills. It seems the 2 large motors would produce more than I'm getting in real life. I also haven't gotten the speed I hear others getting on open pavement. My top is between 28-29 which isn't bad, but I get over that on one of my other single motor bikes..... again, I was expecting a bit more there as well. As for the battery, I have only gotten 15 miles on a charge tops, but again, I'm using the 2 wheel drive all the time and battling rough terrain. I haven't had the chance to simply ride it around town with the single motor to see how long the battery will last. The bike is good, I'm just not overly impressed like I thought I would be so far.

Ranger Air M-540

Very nice bike. I also own a Philodo Falcon which has roughly the same specs but is not the same at all. The Freesky Ranger has a slightly smaller wheelbase and less rake on the setpost so it is closer to the bars, It is a lot more upright and comfortable than my Falcon. The Falcon is faster by about 8mph and feels faster when accelerating but the Freesky is more refined. Better controls (Falcon = 3 buttons) and more comfort. I am 6' 220-ish and I squeaked out 34mph on the display a couple times which is enough for 90%+ of what you are doing on an Ebike. Def recommended just don't expect a rocketship.

The bike itself is not bad. Unfortunately, it took nearly 6-8 weeks to actually gwt the bike because it aupposedly got lost in transit.🙄😆😆🙄. I had to get tough with them to make sure i got what i spent over $1200 on. Ridiculous!!!!!!

Ranger Air M-540

I am a 75 year old handicapped man who once was 6'2" tall and at one time raced Honda motorcycles. My bike was a 1972 Honda 750 K... One of the fastest of the time. My new e-bike is fantastic. The build quality is superior. I can not pedal the bike and rely on the dual motors for all torque. I live on my 50' Boat in Juneau, Alaska and purchased the bike to reduce my long walks and climbs up the steep ramps. I made only two changes to the bike. I replaced the seat with a fat man's seat to better support both my girth and add stability as my spine is deteriorated. I also purchased a crank arm puller to remove the pedal arm from the side opposite of the sprocket to then remount the pedal arm on the same plane as the one opposite making the pedals just foot rests. The bike using both motors and power setting of 5 gives me infinite control at low speeds which is what I need in negotiating the docks and the ramps. In Juneau we experience tides in excess of 20' and the ramps can be very steep... traction is great and no problem and the brakes are just as good on descents.. I bought a pull behind trailer for hauling my groceries and also my garbage. I fabricated a hitch mounted to the back of the carrier for this purpose. So far I only use it at high tides. Not because of a lack of power or brakes but because of my own limitations. I added Handicapped insignia's to the front and rear fenders. I am in the process of finishing its own little garage on my back deck...It will have a safe home protected from the snow, ice and almost constant rain of Juneau...On a private dirt road I had the bike up to 42 MPH with the speed limiter unlocked... Not because it would not go faster but I had reached my own limit. You build a good product. Sincerely, Galen Drake

Best AWD bike I have ridden in this price range...and better than many others regardless of the price because it has safe and usable power. What do we say at the track..."spinning aint't winning"...and this bike allows full use of the power. Can't believe it does not cost more. GREAT JOB!

Big, beastly, and fast! Asphalt, gravel, grass, dirt, big hills....no problem at all for this thing. It's basically an electric motorcycle with pedals on the sides so you look like you might exercise. I'm 170-lbs and I got it up to 34 mph. Get a helmet if you want to push it past 20. It's very smooth at 30 but if you hit something with this bike (two wheeled tank) bones will likely be broken and some blood may be lost.

Great bike overall. My only issue is I find the rear motor only to be very underpowered. I've had a rear motor only ebike and found no issues with getting the bike moving initially or going up small hills where with the freesky in rear motor only mode it won't even start moving from a standstill and definitely won't pull up any small hills. It must be switched to dual motor mode.

Like the bike. Very confortable from a heavy person perpective and the assisted power is predictable. The 6 and 7 gear needed an adjustment to get the chain properly aligned on these gears. Would have liked to get the battery indicator in % instead of bars but that's personal preference.
